There are many ways a teacher can
give students a class. It’s not something that everyone can do. It takes more
than knowledge to teach. You need to be patient, you need to be flexible and
you need to have a passion to teach. My name is Carlos and I did an
investigation. In my investigation I had to give an English class using “Task
Base Learning”. My objective was simple: Teaching my students how to ask for
things found in a market or store. In the following videos you will see how
difficult for a beginner can be to teach English to children (in this case).
During the class, it can be noted
that the children have different ages. However, they all seemed to be
participating in class. Also, some students learn faster than others. In this
investigation, the two older girls learned faster than the other three girls. As
the class progresses, the children in the end get an idea of what “This is a/an”
and “I want…Please/Thank you” mean. In other words, the objective of the class
was achieve, but it will need to be reinforce in another class so the students
won’t forget what they learned.
Hi!
ResponderEliminarI think you did a good you did a good job with the girls because you gave them confidence. The second activity was good because the students could recognize the food and they used the vocabulary that they had seen. And in the following activity you also did that they use new structures to ask what they wanted.
You gave them activities that were simple to the most difficult.
GOOD!
I think that in the main activity girls had fun and also they all learned in this execise. What I like the most was that both parts (the seller and the buyer) had an mental activity. The seller had to identify the products by the name in english and the buyer had to remember and follow the grammar structure.
